Atheists, is it possible for this to happen?

I read about the first half of this and you sound...paranoid/insane/close-minded. Really, its coming across as though you've shut yourself off from even considering the possibility that evolution is valid because you think considering it valid makes you...shut down your mind or something...Strange.
