Does anyone else feel American Eagle clothing is getting smaller?

I'm not a small girl at all, but I don't think I'm that big. I wear a size L in Abercrombie tops. American Eagle used to be the same thing, I had no problem putting on a large. I went there more recently to discover I have went from a L to an XL in there tops. I don't understand this because a while ago Abercrombies L fit more snug than the AE ones did and now it's reversed! I bought a fleece from Abercrombie and felt it was a bit bigger than usual. In comparing both stores, does anyone see this happening? It's like AE is shrinking and Abercrombie is expanding! What's going on?
