Illinois right to work state?

I work for a security alarm company now and also thinking about starting my own. I would do it in fairness, i.e. I wouldn't take away any accounts that my previous employer has now. Obviously I wouldn't work for my current employer while doing my own thing. I wanna do my own thing. Is there any legalities that would keep me from doing this or if I did, would I have any possible problems or expect any problems from doing this?
