In a Gay Marriage, who takes what last name?

Well, with my girlfriend, when we get married, we're going to keep our old last names. It's basically just what they want. It honestly doesn't matter who takes who's name or if they take eachothers name at all. I've never thought that the exchange of names really mattered much anyways. It's much more important to be bonded with your partner through marriage then it is for them to share your last name.
