Why are the Wisconsin protesters stopping to drink beer on St. Patricks Day?

Did you read the article you posted? They didn't stop to drink, they stopped because there was an organized St. Patrick's Day celebration. It was planned long before any of the protests broke out. And on a less serious note: Are you from Wisconsin? Beer is VERY important to us :]
